Prof. (Dr.) Bibhuti P Sinha holds the esteemed position of Chief and Head of the Department at the Regional Institute of Ophthalmology, Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences in Patna, Bihar. Concurrently, he serves as the Hon’ble Secretary of the Bihar Ophthalmic Society. With an impressive academic journey spanning 26 years, Dr. Sinha has accumulated a wealth of teaching and clinical experience. Recognized for his outstanding contributions, he has been honored with multiple awards, including the Dr. A.K. Prasad Gold Medal, Dr. Ajit Sinha Gold Medal, IIRSI Gold Medal, and the Young Achievers Award. His extensive research portfolio boasts 95 publications on both national and international platforms, complemented by around 50 invited lectures and authorship of two books with five chapters. As a Principal Investigator, he has successfully completed seven Clinical Trial Projects, with an additional ongoing project. Dr. Sinha is a lifetime member of five prestigious organizations and has contributed significantly to academia through editorial appointments and serving as a reviewer for journals. Furthermore, his dedication to the academic community is evident in his role as a thesis guide, having supervised 14 postgraduate theses. Beyond his ophthalmological expertise, Dr. Sinha has taken on additional responsibilities, currently serving as the Faculty In-Charge of Construction & Building at IGIMS, Patna, and having held prominent positions such as the Ex. Director and Ex. Deputy Director Administration at IGIMS-Patna, Bihar.
