Experience: 

Dr. Barman has been working at Sri Sankaradeva Nethralaya since 2004 and currently is a Sr. Consultant & HOD of Dept. of Vitreoretina. Dr. Barman has a research experience of more than 10 years and has worked in many global projects. He also has experience as a Principal Investigator in ICMR funded projects. Some of the research projects of last 3 years that he has worked on are mentioned below:

1. Evaluation of Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) level   in   vitreous humor, aqueous humor and plasma of patients suffering from Diabetic retinopathy and its correlation with VEGF and   glucose level. ICMR. (Principal Investigator)

Experience: 

              Dr. Bhattacharjee has more than 40 years of clinical experience. He has done more than 55 thousand Cataract and Anterior segment eye surgeries, 21 thousand Vitreo Retinal Surgeries and 9 thousand Adnexal Surgeries. Sixty percentage of his clinical work is done as charity and community service.

Dr. Bhattacharjee has been Chairman, Panelist & Guest lecturer in many scientific sessions (national & international) and is an invited participant in National and International conferences. He has also Co-Authored 4 Textbook of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Bhattacharjee served as an examiner at Calcutta University, Gauhati University, Royal College of Surgeons (FRCP, Edin) and National Board of Examinations, New Delhi. He also serves as an inspector and research guide for National Board of Examinations, New Delhi and post graduate teacher and research guide (PhD) guide at Sri Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS). 

Dr. Bhattacharjee has organized several National & International conferences and he has more than 200 national publications and more than 20 international publications to his credit.
